Last known photograph of Jessie Jefferies
On 12 July 1926 Jessie Jefferies died at her final home in Penlu. Perranporth, North Cornwall. Little is known about the beloved wife of Richard Jefferies but she must not be fogotten as she played such a vital role in his life and works.
The headstone of her grave at St. Piran's church, Penhallow has been restored to mark the occasion.
